We also offer flexible seller financing, so owning land doesn't have to mean a complicated bank process. With as little as 10% down, we make it straightforward for families to get started.

Our Story

Pura Vida is a Spanish phrase meaning "pure life" — a simple reminder to find joy in the things that matter most. Family. Nature. A quiet place to exhale.

That idea felt right for a land company rooted in Texas. Trevor founded Pura Vida Land after years working in real estate investment, learning the full process of acquiring, developing, and selling land. He started the company to do it on his own terms — and to share the opportunity of land ownership with families who want exactly what he loves about Texas: open space, natural beauty, and room to make it your own.

Trevor McManis was born and raised in Austin, Texas — so land runs in his blood. A Texas Tech graduate with a degree in Real Estate Finance, he's been working in the industry since 2019, focusing exclusively on land: acquiring it, developing it, and getting it into the hands of the right buyers.
Before founding Pura Vida Land in 2024, Trevor spent years working across some of the most complex land deals in Texas — from rural ranch subdivisions to master-planned communities — gaining experience in every phase of the process from acquisition through disposition. He started Pura Vida to do what he does best, on his own terms, and to make land ownership more accessible for Texas families.
Trevor runs the business alongside his wife, Kennedy, who shares his belief that owning a piece of Texas land is one of the best things a family can do. When he's not sourcing the next deal, you'll find him doing exactly what he sells — enjoying the Texas outdoors and making the most of wide open spaces.

Kennedy McManis

Strategic Advisor

Kennedy McManis is the steady voice behind the scenes at Pura Vida Land. A born-and-raised Austinite and University of Texas graduate with degrees in Psychology and Business, she brings a grounded perspective to the company's direction and growth. Kennedy serves as Trevor's closest advisor — the person he thinks out loud with before every major decision. Her instinct for people and her belief in what Pura Vida Land is building make her an integral part of the foundation the company is built on.
